Yesterday, a former customer called with a task that a couple of other teams had declined: an old American fridge had to be removed, and a new one brought in – but the staircase was too narrow.
The solution was a window lift via scaffolding. After quick planning with pictures and measurements, we met with four men, kept the time estimate at 2.5 hours, and got both cabinets safely out and in.
Creative thinking was required along the way, but with proper padding, upright handling as far as possible, and sharp coordination, we finished without scratches or scrapes.
The old one went to the recycling station, and the new one is level and ready to start. Would you like to see a video (at the bottom) of how we approached it – and whether a window lift is the solution for you?

Movers who take over where others give up…
After several other movers’ attempts to get our old American refrigerator out and the new one into our little Skovser house, 3×34 Minding took on the task and solved it wildly strongly and beautifully. 💪🏼
They are so solution-oriented and also mega nice. Can only recommend them👍

Preparation that makes a difference
Follow this simple checklist to get your American refrigerator ready for moving. By emptying, defrosting and securing all parts correctly, you avoid damage, water leaks and unnecessary trouble on moving day.
- Empty, defrost and turn off
Empty and defrost your refrigerator well in advance. Turn off at the socket 12–24 hours before, empty shelves and drawers, wipe away condensation, and leave the doors ajar.
- Close the water supply
Close the water at the shut-off valve, and carefully disconnect the hose – have a cloth or small bucket ready for residual water.
- Remove content
Take out loose shelves and containers or fasten them gently, and put straps or use plenty of cling film to hold the doors.
- Check access conditions
Measure access routes (doors, staircase, stairs), and assess whether cabinet doors/handles should be removed to gain extra centimeters.
We are of course happy to help with the above, but the task is quicker (and therefore cheaper) for us to complete if you have completed the preparations.

How we carry out your move.
We start with a short inspection, and make a plan for access conditions, weight and any disassembly. The cabinet and home are protected with felt blankets and any edge protectors, if it is tight.
The carrying itself is carried out by experienced movers with carrying straps, so the weight is distributed safely.
If it needs to be transported, we ensure that the cabinet is fastened in the moving van in an upright position – we do not lay it down.
In narrow passages, we use ramps and controlled maneuvering. At the new address, we are happy to put the cabinet in level, help with connecting water and electricity by agreement, and give advice on correct start-up.
